The City of Oakland has officially begun the rollout of its new automated enforcement program. Authorized by California Assembly Bill 645 (AB 645), these cameras are designed to curb speeding on the city’s most dangerous corridors.

If you are looking for the Oakland speed camera locations, you’ve come to the right place. Below is our interactive Oakland speed camera map (Google Map version) to help you visualize exactly where these 18 new systems are located.

The AB 645 Warning Period Schedule

Under the requirements of AB 645, Oakland must provide a 60-day warning period before any financial penalties are issued.

  • Installation: December 2025 – January 2026.
  • Warning Period (Starts Jan 2026): For 60 days, violators will receive a Warning Notice in the mail with a $0 fine.
  • Live Citations (Spring 2026): Real fines (starting at $50 and going up to $500 for 100+ mph) will begin once the 60-day period expires.

A Map is Just the Beginning

Checking a map before you drive is helpful, but the reality is that most drivers forget these locations the moment they hit traffic.

This is why Ticketguard is essential for Oakland drivers. Our app is completely free to use and will be loading with every AB 645 speed camera location in Oakland, San Francisco, and San Jose. Instead of worrying about a static map, you get a real-time, audible alert before you enter the camera zone.

Drive smarter and avoid the $100 “surprise” in your mailbox.
